This is an operational/technical role aimed at the coordination, identification, analysis, consolidation, mitigation, and escalation of all third-party supplier risks on behalf of the Third-Party Risk Management Centre of Excellence (CoE). The role will report directly to the Head of the CoE with a focus on collaboration, risk identification, mitigation, system management, and reporting to various stakeholder groups across the third-party life cycle.

Job Objective

The individual will be responsible for/to:

  • Support the planning and rollout of the implementation of a Third-Party Risk Management Centre of Excellence (CoE) and framework, reporting to the TPRM Senior Risk Officer in response to applicable Risk, Compliance and Governance Models and related group strategic objectives in relation to Third-Party Risk.
  • The setup and adoption of a Third-Party Risk Management CoE/function within the Contracts and Sourcing Team in line with the Risk Governance Frameworks, including the relevant group operating manual, risk policies and other applicable policies.
  • Provide assurance that the CoE risk and compliance objectives are met and that internal controls are adequate and effective through tracking, monitoring and reporting.
  • The development and maintenance of and third-party inventory and all related data inputs, coordination, maintenance, and updates.
  • Regularly monitor and report on third-party risks, compliance and risk mitigation in line with group policies and processes, procedures and standards. Escalate as appropriate and support resolution for areas of risk and/or non-compliance.
  • Coordinate, collect evidence, monitor and report on the CoE activities, objectives and maturity to the Head of Contracts and Sourcing, TPRM Senior Risk Officer, and various risk forums as required.
  • Provide technical inputs and support on third-party risk and compliance in strategic/non-strategic third-party related projects.
  • Support and drive the implementation of third-party risk segmentation and risk rating principles.
  • Communicate updates, monitor, and report on third-party risks to second line risk and compliance.
  • Report on third-party risk and compliance activities to the TPRM Operations Manager/Senior Risk Officer and Contracts and Sourcing Executive.
  • Provide technical third-party risk and compliance inputs and provide support in business projects.
  • Reporting on the compliance and effectiveness of company policy, standards, processes, and procedures in relation to third party risk management.
  • Establish and manage relationships and enhance engagement with all risk pillar SME’s to ensure proper cohesion through the process of risk identification, communication and management across the third-party supplier life cycle.
  • Support and encourage third-party risk management awareness and COE objectives.
  • Support third-party risk methodologies, ensuring it is communicated, shared and adopted.
  • Ensure detailed knowledge of wide third-party database, inventory, risk profiles and risk management action plans to enable efficient gatekeeping of the appropriate third-party risk processes.
  • Champion, facilitate and optimize the CoE by monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of third-party policy, standards, processes and procedures.


  • General risk management experience (2- 3 years)
  • Knowledge and experience of third-party risk management principles and practices.
  • Third-party risk management certification and/or qualification (advantageous)
  • Experience with third-party risk management tools (advantageous)
