What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager, you will be at the heart of our client's operations. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive financial plans that guide the manufacturing operations. Your role will involve conducting detailed variance analyses, overseeing cost accounting activities, preparing accurate financial statements, monitoring cash flow, assessing capital investment opportunities, identifying financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulations, coordinating audits, and leading a team of finance professionals.   • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to guide the manufacturing operations
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful reports to senior management on financial performance against budgets
  • Oversee cost accounting activities to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall cost efficiency
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to optimise working capital and support day-to-day operational requirements
  • Collaborate with project teams to assess capital investment opportunities and provide financial analysis for decision-making
  • Identify and assess financial risks, proposing strategies to mitigate these risks
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address any findings
  • Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development

What you bring:

The ideal Finance Manager will bring proven experience from the manufacturing industry. She will possess strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, budgeting processes along with excellent analytical abilities. Her advanced proficiency in using financial software tools including Microsoft Excel will be crucial for this role. She will also demonstrate effective communication skills that enable her to work collaboratively with various teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven experience as a Financial Manager in the manufacturing industry
  • A CA(SA) or CIMA designation
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
