About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a business leader to join our Global Customer Unit as a Key Account Manager (KAM) for the South Africa account – based in Johannesburg South Africa.

In this role, you will be responsible for customer satisfaction, account profit and loss, cash-flow, and working capital.

By applying critical skills of executive relations, business development, sales and business negotiations and through strategic thinking and leadership and orchestration of the wider Ericsson organization you will enable a profitable business for Ericsson. Ambition is to increase customer partnership and business value for both customer & Ericsson.

We are searching for a KAM that will act with confident authority and that takes accountability to develop the business relationships while actively contributing to making customers successful and Ericsson profitable. This role success depends upon developing a deep understanding of both Customer’s and Ericsson’s business, operations and objectives.

What will you do:

  • Engage wider organization in developing and executing on a Key Account Strategy for customer
  • Drive and strengthen relationship build between customer and Ericsson
  • Drive profitable sales and develop new sales streams with proactive business development and strong account management
  • Ensure quality and profitability in projects delivery
  • Lead and develop a stellar sales team
  • Lead and orchestrate Ericsson teams for best customer experience, business insights and realization of value propositions.
  • Orchestrate collaborative teamwork across Ericsson (global customer unit, business areas, market areas, local .. )

What will you bring:

  • Education: Master of Business Administration, Master of Science or similar
  • 7+ years sales account management, business development and negotiations within the Mobile industry
  • 5+ years in leadership position
  • Africa experience and cultural awareness is key
  • Influential leadership, people and change management skills
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking
  • Ability to enable teamwork and collaboration
  • Financial acumen as well as Innovative and creative thinking
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Very strong personal integrity and values that supports a high ethical standard
  • Capable of addressing inappropriate behaviour and compliance issues
  • Excellent social and interpersonal skills.
  • Responsive and result oriented.
  • You will be perseverant, as well as open minded, with a passion to win

An Advantage to have the below:

  • Previous experiences within the career in technical mobile domains (RAN, BSS, & Mobile money)
  • Having had business interactions with customer with a deep understanding of customer’s business, operations and objectives
