How you'll role

As the Head of Marketing, you will oversee the marketing department, devising and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company's goals across different divisions. Your role involves offering expert marketing guidance to stakeholders and overseeing the coordination, management, and mentoring of the marketing team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's marketing initiatives forward.

What you'll do

  • Manage the brand, brand positioning and corporate identity

  • Ensure that the company's image is enhanced in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders

  • Manage the overall communication to key stakeholders and customers to ensure communication is professional and consistent

  • Manage the overall marketing budget and work closely with the Business/Product Managers to define the individual product marketing budgets

  • Responsible for final approval of all marketing documentation - to ensure all marketing materials are consistent with CI and in line with marketing strategy

  • Maintain relationships with suppliers such as Graphic Designer, SEO & Google AdWords Partner, printers, promotional companies etc.

  • Overall management of the company website to ensure updates to the website are made on a continual basis and products and services are effectively communicated via the website

  • Oversee the management of Google AdWords, Google Analytics and SEO

  • Oversee the management of social media platforms

  • Create highly leveraged marketing strategies across all products and services

  • Create excellent customer journeys for all products/services

  • Implement the necessary marketing systems, policies and practices and continually review and improve on them

  • Collate, compile and report on key business metrics

  • Maintain up to date professional and technical knowledge and keep abreast of industry trends and pertinent legislation

  • Management of the marketing team made up of three individuals

  • Cultivate an environment where creativity and innovation are encouraged and provide necessary guidance, coaching and support in this regard

  • Ensure team is highly motivated, challenged and supported

  • Ensure the team has excellent product and technical knowledge to deliver strategy and build brand.

  • Ensure staff are clear about their roles, procedures, and practices - conducts regular performance reviews

  • Sets KPIs for the marketing team

  • Work alongside the commercial team (Business and Product Managers) to develop marketing strategies aligned with their commercial strategies and provide direction and support

  • Manage the marketing team to ensure implementation of marketing strategies, campaigns, and activities

  • Be involved with the launch of new products and services - the development of the marketing strategy and marketing materials as well as the incorporation into the overall brand

  • Ensure campaign activities translate into profits or other strategic business objectives and creates value for customers and shareholders

  • Monitor and measure the success of marketing initiatives, drive corrective action, and advise the organisation accordingly

What you'll need

  • Ability to strategise and think creatively outside of the box

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree/diploma: BCom in Marketing/Communications, Business Science (hons) or similar degree

  • 6 - 8 years marketing/industry experience in a similar role (experience in the Healthcare industry would be advantageous)

  • Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Knowledgeable on all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube) as well as Facebook Ad Manager

  • Experience with platforms such as & Hootsuite

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

  • Ability to be proactive and take initiative

  • An ability to prioritise is key as is the ability to manage a broad range of tasks

  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail


R50,000 - R70,000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
