What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you'll assist in managing the product development lifecycle for the GroupM Media Central product, develop detailed technical requirements, and complete functional specifications. You'll interface with the technical team to ensure the product is developed, tested, and deployed to specification. We are looking for someone with a unique blend of business and technical savvy, incredible attention to detail, foresight, and the drive to make vision a reality. You'll also support roadmap planning and provide technical leadership to ensure that GroupM remains ahead of the market, valuable to its users, and commercially successful.

Key responsibilities include partnering with regional and market process consultants, aligning plans with global application initiatives, overseeing release plans, ensuring systems compliance, performing quality reviews, providing subject matter expertise, and leading showcases to demo functionalities of the product.

What You'll Need

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects.
  • Experience in core finance industry is essential.
  • Expert in delivering solutions to support core finance processes including client/vendor contracts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general accounting, fixed assets, treasury.
  • Exposure to solutions that support media bill, pay, campaign close and reporting processes for all media types (digital and traditional).
  • Balanced business/technical background:
    • Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
    • Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers
  • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools:
    • Agile Project Management tools such as Jira, Visual Studio, MS TFS or equivalent
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
  • Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
  • Proven experience in a similar role essential in a product development environment
  • Fluent in English.
