Duties:

• Responsible for the full lifecycle of the audit end-to-end, from engagement initiation, right through to planning, fieldwork and report writing.
• Understand and document the IT landscape for each IT environment.
• Perform ITGC and application control audits.
• Identify and clearly articulate the root cause of issues identified and impact thereof and recommend changes to business processes that will address the IT and Project control weaknesses.
• Monitor the findings raised by the Robotic IT controls auditing tool and ensure that findings are appropriately addressed by management.
• Evaluate IT areas such as operations management and disaster recovery procedures related to the IT application controls to be reviewed.
• Provide clear and sufficient audit evidence to support recommendations and audit opinion.
• Assist the Internal Audit Manager with other operational and reporting activities as required.
• Maintenance of an IT audit risk universe per business unit.

 
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications: 

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• BSc Computer Science / BSc Information Systems
• BSc Honours
• CISA

Experience:

• Experience with Alteryx is beneficial

• 3 – 4 years experience as an IT Auditor within a large Audit firm

Skills & Competencies:

• Advance computer skills, including MS Office and Power BI but specifically SQL scripting will be beneficial.
• Solid understanding of IT systems.
• Ability to identify and assess IT-related risks, including cybersecurity threats, data breaches, and compliance issues, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyse complex IT systems.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness to stay updated on emerging technologies.
• Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and integrity in audit processes.
