Job Purpose:

To manage the products in terms of the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition including marketing, forecasting, and profit and loss (PandL) responsibilities. To Analyse the market and competitive conditions for laying out a product vision that is differentiated and delivers unique value based solutions on customer demands while bridge gaps within the company between different functions, most notably between engineering-oriented teams, sales and marketing, and support. To provide the latest insights on products to all stakeholders and provide training on products to internal sales and marketing staff.

Responsibilities:

Product Management
  • Preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests.
  • Brings new products to market by analysing proposed product requirements and product development. programs.
  • Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales and marketing.
  • Identification of new opportunities; product enhancements; and line extensions.
  • Manage stock on back order as well as run rate or for certain deals.
  • Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information
  • Reduce stock days to SLA in place.
  • Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels.
  • Maintain the GP set by the SLAs and budgets.
  • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements.
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.

Stakeholder Relations

  • Develop product sales strategies. Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
  • Negotiate prices for deals and tenders; determines product pricing by utilising market research data. anticipating volume; costing special and customised orders.
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
  • Maintain and Retain Clients’ Relationships.
  • Maintain Vendor relationships, as well as negotiate contracts, prices, stock.

  • Assist Sales and Clients with information needed, calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results.
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
  • Defining product marketing communication objectives.

Qualification and Experience:
  • Matric
  • Qualification in marketing/sales would be advantageous
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing and sales within ICT industry

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Microsoft Office
