Title: Senior Specialist Integration Designer
Description
Key Responsibilities

Responsible for overall Integration designs deliverables for assigned domain within integration.

Responsible for representing respective Integration domain at Project and/or programme meetings that includes Project schedule, Solution Architecture, Business

Requirement Specification, Functional Spec review sessions, bug meetings, war-room, etc.

Expected to be able to influence through communication plus ability to make complex decisions.

Responsible for raising and communicate project and Production Fixes issues, highlight project risks and escalate the issues for resolution where required.

Responsible for making presentation on project issues and solution recommendations at management and project teams.

Accountable for delivery of the Logical Integration Design (LID) document, Schemas, Mapping documents, Technical Integration Document(TID) and any other required Integration Design artefact.

Responsible for conducting LID review sessions to the Project team as well as handing over Integration Design artefacts to the internal Integration Development team.

Contribute towards the keeping of the Integration artefact inventory true on artefacts related to the assigned project or domain.

Accountable to conduct presentations of the Integration Design document at required project forums as well as handover Integration Design Documents to the internal Development team.

Responsible for strategic thinking within on domain around areas of efficiency, quality and innovation.

Contribute towards providing expertise testing support at project/programme level as well as Prod-Fixes.

Responsible for issue identification during testing and Production as well as making fixes required to remedy problems.

Provide clear and timely account of issues as well as mitigating factors to prevent such from happening again.

Update the ICC Service Inventory when required with all required service-related information as well as conducting troubleshooting on ESB Transaction Log on request.

Participate in Internal review Initiatives that includes Process Improvement initiatives, strategic initiatives, and present solutions to internal SARS review Boards when requested.

Requirements

Relevant bachelor’s degree/ Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) and at least 8 years’ experience in in complex, large Integration environments preferably with Enterprise Service Bus Design experience with Message Broker preferably.
Matric with a relevant IT Certification (including but not limited to UML, SOA Certification, TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT) and at least 8 years’ experience in in complex, large Integration environments preferably with Enterprise Service Bus Design experience with Message Broker preferably.
A good understanding of the SDLC process, tools and techniques specifically as applied to software development methodology.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to coordinate in a cross functional manner across disciplines.
Proven track record in maintaining professional, high-quality communication with stakeholders in support of their operations.

Skills and Knowledge requirements

Implementation experience in Integration Design, inclusive of:
Integration Technologies(s).
Modelling Tools (e.g Rational Software Architect, Ms Visio, Rational Rose, etc).
Integration Styles (Remote Procedure Call {RPC}, Non and Managed File Transfers, Databases, API, Messaging, Service) Encoding, Message Exchange formats (XML, Flat Files, EDI) Quality of Service; Communication Protocols: (HTTPS, JDBC, MQ, IDOC, JMS, REST, SOAP, WSDL).
A basic working knowledge of Tax related matters for Individuals and other entity types and related process flows.
Ability to investigate and troubleshoot functional behaviour on integration solutions and a good track record of experience in doing this in the last 2 years.
Technical high-level understanding at Enterprise level application solution built on Service Orientated architecture.
The ability to author executive level communication on SLA reporting and management to internal and external stakeholders.
Senior Integration Design experience in working with software development resources that operate across the SDLC.
A sound understanding of basic project management principles.
The ability to understand the root cause of system problems and prioritise the highest impact elements to ensure continuous system availability.
Represent the team in an Enterprise level forums/boards and provide the necessary leaderships and collaboration for the preparation and execution of a successful release.
