Roles And Responsibilities

General

• To maintain condition and accuracy of stock.
• To maintain a high level of awareness of the potential for stock losses at various points in the work processes under incumbent's control.
• To ensure utilisation of the relevant ERP module is done in manner that ensures data integrity.
• To conduct accurate and timeous materials management reporting.
• To maintain equipment integrity according to safety standards.
• To create awareness, address all unsafe or non-conforming practices and accept responsibility for area of responsibility.
• To provide relevant support to applicable stakeholders.
• To stop unsafe conditions and behaviours within designated area (jurisdiction area).
  
  

Receiving

• Receiving of goods delivered to the warehouse.
• Check to ensure that the delivery documents and Purchase Order match.
• Verify that the goods are intact and report any defects to the Supervisor.
• Ensure after receipting the goods in the ERP system that the item is tagged/ marked for binning or delivery to end user.
• Ensure the goods are stored according to the designated system of storage in the warehouse.
• Ensure that the goods are properly secured in the bin location.
• To articulate, adopt, embrace and live Tronox's values.
  
  

Goods Issue & Deliveries

• Issue goods from ERP system and print goods issue document
• Ensure when retrieving goods for dispatch from their various storage locations that the item retrieved matches the goods issue document.
• Verify that the goods are in good condition and placed in the delivery area.
• Deliver goods to the end users and obtain signatures for filling purposes.
  
  

Commercial, Logistics And Supplier Control

• Issue and where applicable deliver to end-user as directed by the Warehouse Coordinator.
• Transfer scrap or redundant materials/equipment to reclamation yard promptly and timeously.
• Identify dead and slow moving stock and ensure accurate management of Consignment Stock.
• Adopt/execute sound stock preservation practices in area of responsibility.
  
  

Qualifications

Grade 12/ Standard 10 (Mandatory)

Driver’s License (Mandatory)

PDP (Advantageous)

Forklift (Advantageous)

Skills

2-3 years Warehouse Operational Environment experience (Mandatory)

Experience within a heavy industry/ production / mining environment (Advantage)

Computer Literacy (Mandatory)

Medically Fit For The Position As Per Company Requirements(Mandatory)
