As our EngineeringManager, you'll lead with passion, responsibility, and authority. Duties & Responsibilities
- Operates as the primary contact between clients, providing guidance and communicating with manufacturers on results, deficiencies, and corrections required.
- Develop new business clients and consults on regulation development.
- Develop operations processes and procedures to enhance efficiencies in the Department.
- Educates all staff of the Department’s process as it relates to their position.
- Manages Delivery Department personnel, which involves direct and indirect responsibilities for interviewing, selection, training, motivating, and performance evaluations.
- Sets clear goals by communicating job expectations, appraising work performance and consistently providing honest positive and negative feedback to employees.
- Provides employees with resources, training, and support necessary to complete work assignments.
- Consistently reviews, approves, and submits administrative work prior to established due dates.
- Provides updates on workload and personnel performance to upper management.
- Regularly documents employees’ performance using appropriate systems.
- Models’ behavior consistent with company values, setting the same expectations for his/her team.
- Handles escalated Department questions or issues.
- Conducts file reviews.
- Serves as an Evaluator as listed on the Product Certification organizational chart.
- Carries out Field Inspection tasks in support of the inspection activities, upon request
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related discipline is required.
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline a plus.
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience as a Test Engineer.
- Must have at least one (1) year of experience as a Senior Engineer or equivalent role.
- Previous supervisory/management experience is strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- An equivalent combination of experience, education, or demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance testing may be evaluated and considered in lieu of the education or experience requirements, such as completion of two years of a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 10 years of experience in software testing.
