Key responsibilities:

• Windows Server 2008 & later - installation, maintenance (updating etc), troubleshooting
• IIS configuration and management
• Website/application/service deployment, configuration & troubleshooting
• Microsoft desktop OS (Windows 7+) – installation, management, troubleshooting
• Domain/registrar management (.co.za and other TLD)
• Good understanding of domains, DNS, DNS records and their function(s)
• Understanding of monitoring servers/services
• Windows SUS (Software Update Services)
• Solid TCP/IP fundamentals:
• IP routing, subnetting
• Application layer protocols DNS, SMTP, FTP, POP3, IMAP, RDP, etc including function and troubleshooting
• Physical server/equipment deployment
• Office 365 and MS Azure

• 5 years+ system administrator experience in a predominantly Microsoft environment
• Virtualisation (Hyper-V)
• Windows Clustering
• Enterprise storage
• Active Directory
• Batch scripting
• PowerShell scripting
• Linux
• Load balancing
• Exchange
• MS Teams
