Our Client is a dynamic and entrepreneurial group of businesses operating in the residential real estate sector. They specialize in mortgage origination, and our services are an integral part of a larger value chain that includes real estate, insurance, and other related home services. We are seeking a dynamic leader who is commercially savvy with sound relationship building skills to lead the Sales of their Technology products.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Technical Sales Manager leads and manages a sales team, focusing on selling complex technical products and services. This incumbent will bridge the gap between technical expertise and customer needs, driving sales growth by understanding client requirements, presenting solutions and ensuring technical feasibility. This individual helps develop sales strategies, manage relationships and collaborates with product development teams.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leading and Coaching Sales Teams: Technical Sales Managers guide, motivate, and mentor their sales team to achieve sales targets.
  • Developing Sales Strategies: They create and implement sales plans to identify opportunities and drive revenue.
  • Understanding Customer Needs: They work with clients to understand their technical requirements and tailor solutions.
  • Presenting Technical Solutions: They effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Product Development: They relay customer feedback and influence product enhancements.
  • Managing the Sales Cycle: They oversee the entire sales process from prospecting to closing.
  • Building and Maintaining Relationships: They develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Staying Updated on Industry Trends: They keep abreast of market developments and technological advancements.
  • Analyzing Market Trends: They identify new business opportunities and potential revenue streams.
  • Managing Sales Pipelines and Forecasts: They accurately track and forecast sales activities.


REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Matric
  • Tertiary qualification in Business Management advantageous


EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5-7 years in a Senior Sales Leadership position preferably with Product Technology experience.
  • Proven track record in managing a successful sales team.
  • Proven track record in a sales Management position
  • Exposure to Home Loans processes is an advantage.
  • Strong networking and relationship building is required.
