JLL's Tetris business vertical specializes in office design and fit-out services, offering end-to-end solutions for workspace transformation. They work with clients to create innovative, efficient, and inspiring work environments that align with company culture and operational needs. Tetris manages the entire process from initial concept and space planning to final installation, including project management, procurement, and coordination of various trades.

What This Job Involves
Technical Lead intern for furniture
Assist with furniture drawings and layouts
Assist with furniture production drawings
Visit client sites to measure with business managers
Assist with workplace standards library
Assist business managers on bespoke items and drawings

What This Job Involves

Required experience and qualifications:
- Education: Mechanical & industrial engineering would be a must
- 3D modeling and CAD software (see software proficiency)
- Materials science (see material selection & sourcing)
- Manufacturing processes
- Ergonomics
- Sketching and rendering
- Skills: Creative and artistic ability
- Strong visual communication skills
- Familiarity with manufacturing techniques
- Problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Practical Experience: hands-on experience is crucial
- Internships at furniture manufacturers understanding the key elements in furniture production methodology (see key elements below)
- Apprenticeships with established designers
- Software Proficiency: 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360)
- 2D design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD)
