Duties & Responsibilities

Deliveries

  • Deliver to and collect items from businesses.
  • Confirm deliveries and collections by way of a logbook.
  • Ensure the relevant registers are completed for the collection and delivery of goods and parcels.

Vehicle Maintenance

  • Maintain vehicle in good order, including weekly check-up and fix of minor problems before they become irreparable.
  • Keep the vehicle clean.
  • Complete Daily Pre-Use Vehicle Inspections
  • Ensure that the vehicles license is valid and renewed timorously by liaising with management on this
  • Petrol Card is to be kept safe and used according to the policy laid out

Driving Duties

  • Plan which route to take to deliver goods in the most efficient way.
  • Collection of various staff to pick up points at the refinery when on duty there.

ISO 9001; 14001 & 18001 – Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Standards

  • Adhere to the TFS’s Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Management System’s Policies & Procedures of as applicable to this position

  • Must be energetic.
  • Must be alert to detect problems.
  • Must be honest, responsible and self motivated.
  • Must be approachable, and be able to work independently.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Must be friendly, helpful and polite when dealing with customers.
  • Must be quick and efficient in delivering mail or other goods

Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • Valid driver's licence
  • PDP would be preferable
  • 1-2 years experience in similar position
