Duties & Responsibilities
- Visual Inspection:
- Conducting visual inspections of granola batches to identify any foreign objects such as plastic, metal, or other contaminants.
- Using basic tools like magnifying glasses for more detailed inspections.
- Assisting with Detection Equipment:
- Assisting in the operation of metal detectors, X-ray machines, and other detection equipment under the supervision of a Quality Control Inspector.
- Ensuring that the equipment is functioning correctly and reporting any issues.
- Sampling and Testing:
- Collecting random samples from production batches for further inspection and testing by quality control personnel.
- Assisting in basic testing procedures as directed.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Keeping records of inspection results and reporting any findings of foreign objects or contaminants to supervisors.
- Assisting in maintaining accurate documentation for quality control purposes.
- Maintaining Cleanliness and Safety:
- Ensuring that the inspection area is clean and organized.
- Following safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure personal safety.
- Supporting Quality Control Team:
- Assisting the Quality Control team with various tasks as needed.
- Participating in training sessions to stay updated on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Magnifying Glasses: For detailed visual inspections.
- Basic Detection Equipment: Assisting with metal detectors and X-ray machines.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): To ensure safety during inspections.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot small defects or foreign objects.
- Basic Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic inspection tools and willingness to learn how to use detection equipment.
- Communication Skills: Ability to report findings clearly and accurately.
- Teamwork: Willingness to work collaboratively with the Quality Control team.
- Grade 9 or Grade 10
