About The Opportunity

Based in our Bryanston office - Johannesburg, the Product Specialist – Mine Planning (UG) plays a key role in delivering technical expertise for our Micromine Advance mine scheduling solution. This role bridges the gap between our product development, sales, and client success teams, providing deep technical insight, client training, and Pre / Post implementation support.

You'll work closely with clients across the region, ensuring successful deployments and acting as a trusted advisor in underground mine scheduling. From providing high-quality training to shaping product evolution, this role is ideal for someone who combines underground mining expertise with a passion for innovative software solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical pre-sales, proof of concept demos, and post-sales implementation for Micromine Advance
  • Support customers and documenting issues in our system
  • Troubleshooting bugs with the development team
  • Facilitate training sessions both onsite and remotely for clients and internal teams
  • Contribute to the design, testing, and refinement of new features and functionality
  • Travel locally and internationally as required

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings both mining and software expertise to the table:

  • Experience with underground mine planning and scheduling
  • A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related field
  • Strong communication skills – confident presenting to clients and teams
  • Previous experience in software support, training, or sales is desirable
  • Experience using or implementing mining software is advantageous
  • Ability to write basic scripts in C# is a plus but not essential
  • Fluency in English and a customer-first mindset
