PURPOSE

To provide support in the implementation of employee/ employer relations activities in the department. This is a twelve-month contract.

Competency Requirements

KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge and understanding of Public Service Act and Regulation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of Labour Laws (LRA, BCEA, EEA and other labour related legislations) and Ethics issues.
  • Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulation.
  • Understanding of Confidential and Security Clearance prescripts.

Experience And Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years qualification (NQF level 6) in Labour Relations / Labour Law/ Human Resources Management / Human Resources Development / Industrial Psychology / Industrial Relations or relevant qualification.
  • At least 2 years within labour relations environment.
