Job Description
This role is integral in providing comprehensive sales support and services for Sage Learning Services, offering both front-end and back-end assistance. The Sales Advisor will utilize various digital communication tools, including telephone, email, social media, and chat, to assist and advise both internal and external customers regarding the purchase and use of training and certification offerings at Sage University.
As a passionate advocate for Sage's customers and partners, the Sales Advisor will work diligently to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction while meeting set sales targets. This individual will be responsible for lead generation, cold calling, and employing other sales techniques to meet quotas. Additionally, the Sales Advisor will be tasked with arranging and attending face-to-face meetings with Business Partners, Delivery Centers, and Accredited Training Centers to foster strong relationships and promote the adoption of Sage’s products.
Location - 3 days per week out of our Johannesburg office.
This role requires a proactive and high-energy individual who can dedicate up to 85% of their time engaging with both internal and external customers. The ability to manage multiple tasks, respond quickly to customer needs, and work in a fast-paced environment is critical for success in this position.

- Sales Support & Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional service through various communication channels, including phone, email, and social media, answering inquiries related to training and certification products and services.
- Sales Cycle Management: Lead customers through the entire sales cycle, with a focus on high conversion rates and achieving sales quotas.
- Customer & Partner Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with business partners, delivery centers, and accredited training centers to drive the adoption and consumption of Sage products.
- Administrative Support: Offer administrative assistance for specialized training programs, utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS) and ensuring smooth processes for training sales offerings.
- Process Development: Contribute to the refinement and documentation of processes related to the administration of training and certification sales offerings.
- Customer Feedback Communication: Relay customer inquiries and feedback to Learning Services Product Owners and Managers in a timely and clear manner.
- Proven experience in qualifying prospects and a strong understanding of the sales cycle.
- A successful track record in developing and executing strategic plans (short, medium, and long-term) and monitoring progress.
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational abilities, with the ability to handle competing priorities effectively.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally within a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate benefits and opportunities clearly.
- Experience working with administrative systems in a cloud-based environment.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- At least two years of experience in service provision or sales.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or related registration and planning software, as well as order entry accounting systems.
- Knowledge of the training department's workflow or experience in event coordination.
- Attainment of one or more Sage certifications is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) in a professional business setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
