Senior Actuarial Specialist

Job Purpose

A role has opened in the group actuarial team for a nearly or newly qualified actuary in the group actuarial team of Hollard. This team is responsible for consolidation of results within the Hollard group both from a statutory and management perspective, as well as involvement in running first line actuarial review committee’s within the Hollard group for both the life and Non-Life licenses. Additionally, this team helps with multiple adhoc projects within the group including involvement in M&A transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Completion and Review of the group SAM returns
• Assist building stronger financial reporting standards across the Hollard Group
• Find opportunities for capital relief and optimization across the Hollard Group
• Completion of consolidated group internal reporting
• For internal management reporting
• For Board reports
• Other adhoc reporting requirements.
• Completion of actuarial projects assigned for completion
• Support for the Short term and Life corporate actuarial teams when needed.
• Assistance running internal actuarial committees
• Capital Committee
• Life Liability Committee
• Short Term Liability Committee
• Running competitor analysis across the insurance industry
