Role responsibilities:
- In this position, you will join our financial business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of financial projects.
- Apply your sound understanding of Project Financial Accounting.
- Assisting the unit leader to manage the finances of the unit, registering projects, revenue recognition, following up on debtors, adjusting project budgets, and analysing the Income Statement.
- Ensure all unbilled WIP is invoiced timeously.
- Assist with compilation of information used for monthly reporting and annual budgets.
- Processing of journals and invoices.
- Ability to successfully handle project accounting for multiple projects.
- Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
- Sound knowledge of accounting systems
- Apply your very good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently (self-starter), as well as part of a group.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 3+ years of Project Accounting experience
- BCom Finance Degree preferred
- Must have sound project accounting experience/knowledge preferably in a consulting/professional services environment
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Experience with VantagePoint or other project accounting software is preferred
- PowerBI skills is advantageous
