Job Description

Job Summary:

The purpose of this role is to ensure maintenance, repair and installation of all environmental, mechanical and electrical equipment by effectively performing preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance set out by the supervisor.

Main Responsibilities (not Limited To)

• Manage the implementation of financial policies and procedures to ensure accurate reporting.
• Conduct basic tests on equipment and components thereof in order to identify faults.
• Ensure the maintenance and repairs of Electrical, Water, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (HVACR) and Humidity Reticulation.
• Ensure that all HVAC repairs and maintenance are in line with the SHE and relevant standards.
• Ensure that tasks assigned in projects are completed according to good workmanship.
• Respond immediately to work requests in order to reduce the impact of equipment down time.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks in order to retain its reliability.
• Ensure relevant resources, tools and equipment are available to perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance effectively.
• Maintain house-keeping in the workshop and auxiliary plants.
• Participate in root cause analysis processes, providing relevant information and recommendations and execute corrective measures.
• Ensure safety regulations, procedures and standards are adhered to by identifying hazards associated with assigned tasks and escalating hazards that cannot be mitigated.
• Report any incidents, injuries and near misses.
• Perform ad hoc duties as and when required.
• Supervise and train Artisan Assistants and Apprentices on assigned tasks.
• Performance of standby duties.
  
  

The Preferred Candidate Is Likely To Have

• N6 Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Refrigeration Trade Test Certificate
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years as a HVAC or Refrigeration Artisan or Mechanic.
