Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety First:
    • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
  • Training Stakeholders:
    • Internal Training: Develop comprehensive training programs that include workshops, e-learning modules, and hands-on sessions. Tailor content to different departments to ensure relevance.
    • External Training: Create webinars, seminars, and detailed documentation to educate external stakeholders. Regular feedback sessions can help refine these programs.
  • Overseeing New Projects (Commissioning):
    • Project Planning: Establish clear timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Use project management tools to track progress and ensure accountability.
    • Team Coordination: Foster collaboration among team members and stakeholders. Regular meetings and updates can keep everyone aligned.
  • Establishing Reliability Concepts
    • Internal Reliability: Implement best practices for maintenance, quality control, and risk management. Regular audits and reviews can help maintain high standards.
    • External Reliability: Share reliability metrics and standards with external partners. Encourage them to adopt similar practices to ensure consistency.
  • Technology Growth
    • Innovation: Stay updated with the latest technological advancements. Encourage a culture of innovation within your team by promoting continuous learning and experimentation.
    • Foster and measure value added concepts via case studies(Service).
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Qualified and experienced Artisan (Fitter/Millwright) with over 10 years of specialized experience in slurry pumps and associated products. Holds a Red Seal (Section 13) certification from Olifantsfontein. Demonstrates a solid understanding of pump duties, including the ability to perform accurate calculations and system assessments.
  • Key Qualifications:
  • Red Seal Certified: Section 13 Fitter/Millwright – Olifantsfontein.
  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience as a qualified artisan.(Mining Industry)
  • 10+ years of in-depth knowledge of slurry pumps and related systems.
  • Proficient in calculating pump duties, including flow rates, head, and efficiency.
  • Strong computer literacy: Skilled in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), report generation, and data analysis.
  • Experienced in technical training: Able to deliver clear, effective training sessions to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Capable of creating technical presentations and documentation for diverse audiences.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Conduct plant audits and suggest improvements through technology offerings on customer sites.
  • Strong reliability-centred maintenance background.
  • Understand TCO concept.
