Responsibilities

The AP Accountant is the analytical & reporting backbone of the Accounts Payable Team across South Africa Business Units

Reporting includes but not limited to:

  • Support Accounts payable reporting:
    • Execute AP related reports to support AP function
    • Assist with certain quarterly reporting (sector)
    • Monthly AP BU reporting
    • Any variances in balances explained to Business Partners (Directors)
    • Ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the Control Shared Services Business Partners
Internal Control Support to AP function, includes but not limited to - Execution and certification:

  • CSA, GCS and SOX Controls
  • GRC request facilitation
  • Manage supple chain financing administration within the guardrails of corporate.

Other Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • EFT releases
  • Audit Queries
  • Adhoc reporting

You will be accountable for:

  • Support Business Partners/Control LT with standard reporting and score carding against established performance measurables as well as ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders regarding Account Payable related information requirements and analysis
  • Develop and continuously improve methodology, tools and solutions used for reporting

Qualifications

  • Intermediate in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • SAP experience
  • Decision Making & Problem solving
  • Degree in Accounting
  • Commercial experience of more than 5 years including strong accounting work experience preferably FMCG
