We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Cape Town.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commodity trading, finance, and technical process modelling, with proven experience in Agile environments.
This role involves analyzing financial processes, translating process flows into detailed entity-relationship diagrams, and supporting testing activities to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements related to commodity trading and finance operations.
Model and translate process flows into ERD (Entity-Relationship Diagram) level documentation to support system design and development.
Develop comprehensive test cases based on business requirements and process flows.
Lead and coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing), ensuring system solutions meet business needs.
Work closely with technical teams to facilitate process improvements and system enhancements.
Apply Agile methodologies to manage tasks, deliverables, and stakeholder communication effectively.
Provide ongoing support and documentation to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of new systems or processes.
Experience & Skills Required
Commodity Trading Experience: Proven understanding of commodity trading processes, workflows, and industry-specific requirements.
Financial Background: Strong knowledge of financial principles, reporting, and analysis within trading environments.
Technical Skills: Ability to take process flows to ERD levels, demonstrating proficiency in process modeling and diagramming tools.
Test Case Development & UAT: Experience in designing test cases, executing UAT, and managing testing cycles.
Agile Methodology: Solid experience working within Agile frameworks, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and iterative delivery.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to liaise effectively across teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Analysis, Information Systems, or related field.
Relevant certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, or Finance are advantageous.
