Purpose of Role: Under the direction of the Head of FP&A - EMEA, the Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation of forecasts, budgets, capital expenditure analysis and ad hoc analysis in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic & Financial Management: Support management with accurate and timely information for strategic, investment, and operating decisions. Coordinate quarterly forecasts, strategic plans, and departmental expense budgets, ensuring necessary controls and procedures are in place. Conduct financial performance analysis, reviewing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow trends versus forecasts, budgets, and historical periods to understand business performance drivers. Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all Finance Department and Company policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure compliance with safety and work rules, maintain departmental housekeeping standards, and uphold organizational compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies. Promote affirmative action and equal employment opportunities while ensuring Environmental Health and Safety management and policy commitments under Weir's Duty of Care.
  • Operational & Process Improvement: Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in processes, methods, productivity, and quality while reducing costs. Work effectively within the ISO-9001 Quality Management System and understand the WMNA Quality Policy and how personal business objectives support organizational quality objectives.
  • Collaboration & Culture: Foster a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude within and across departments to enhance workplace synergy and efficiency.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in finance/accounting required, CPA, or master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CA, CIMA) is preffered
  • Three to five years of progressive financial accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing company.
  • Experience with Microsoft office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. ERP system knowledge (SAP) preferred, Financial Reporting Software preferred.
