Open Box Software is looking for a 1st line engineer to join our Infrastructure team based in Cape Town.

- Administer and support workstations.
- Administer and process end-user onboarding and offboarding.
- Set up and configure workstations, printers, and peripherals.
- Perform regular operational maintenance and updates on IT systems.
- Support Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and basic networking.
- Manage logged calls promptly.
- Resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Escalate complex issues to second or third-line support when necessary.
- Accurately record issues and solutions in the ticketing system.
- Guide users on best practices and IT policies.
- Participate in rotational support shifts (one week per month).
- One year of ICT experience, ideally within the Windows desktop support environment.
- Solid understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Client-focused approach with proactive issue resolution.
- Dedicated to ongoing learning and remaining up to date with technological advancements.
- Bachelor’s degree / National Diploma in IT (preferred, not required).
- Microsoft Fundamentals and Intermediate courses: Azure and 365.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certifications.
- Valid driving license and car required.
