Role Responsibilities
- A solid background in public and private sector land infrastructure projects from township to site specific scale.
- Knowledge and experience of working with relevant engineering codes, standards, and practices.
- Advanced computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in using CAD Software.
- Sound knowledge in the use of a variety of civil engineering analysis software such as PCSWMM, Civil Designer, Civil 3D, Wadiso etc.
- General understanding of BIM processes.
- Work winning, client facing capability and experience.
- Assist in preparing and coordinating tenders/bids and contribute to winning work initiatives.
- Establish a clear understanding of project goals and stakeholder expectations, specifically managing client expectations and ensuring that delivery meets expectations.
- Lead design teams in project delivery.
- Produce key deliverables such as technical reports, specifications, and bills of quantities.
- Act as a senior project-level point of contact for clients.
- Resolve project level issues independently.
- Motivate the project team towards the determined objectives by generating enthusiasm for the project and by maintaining a continued personal interest in achieving set targets.
- A team player that is willing to collaborate across multiple disciplines and international geographies.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Confident, well-spoken, disciplined, detail and deadline / delivery orientated.
- Excellent communication skills (proven ability to interact well with personnel at all organizational levels)
- Excellent organisational skills (ability to plan and implement) and time management skills.
- BSc/BEng Degree or B Tech (Civil Engineering).
- Professional Engineer registered with ECSA
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a design specialist in land infrastructure, specific to municipal and site specific services.
- Must be CAD proficient.
- Civil 3D (advantageous)
