About the role:
We are looking for a seasoned and delivery-focused marketing professional with a strong track record in planning and implementing high-impact campaigns within a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment. The ideal candidate will be both strategic and hands-on, capable of overseeing end-to-end execution with a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
To deliver against business the marketing objectives by delivering the campaign objectives.
- To partner strategically with Business and Product Heads to assess business needs and offer tailored marketing solutions.
- To advise and direct the creation of marketing programs that align and deliver against the business's strategic objectives overseeing the marketing value chain, from consulting and program leadership to planning, development, execution, and reporting.
- To nurture the current base of clients by understanding their banking behaviour and using campaigns and tactics to deliver entrenched behaviour and additional product usage
- To create performance driven campaigns to acquire new clients and launch new products in market using the appropriate channels of communications.
What you will bring:
- 6+ years brand marketing experience in a large, complex and client focused organisation
- Extensive experience in retail planning, ideally within an organisation that has a large and geographically dispersed retail footprint. A solid understanding of national and regional planning across diverse consumer segments and communities is essential.
- Demonstrated experience working within emerging markets, with strong knowledge of mobile marketing and community-based engagement in local areas and township hubs. The candidate should be confident in developing tailored strategies that resonate with underserved or grassroots audiences.
- A proven ability to plan, manage, and deliver integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns across a range of products and services. This includes experience across above-the-line (ATL), below-the-line (BTL), digital, and on-the-ground activations.
- Exceptional project management and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to drive campaign delivery through cross-functional teams, agencies, and partners. A strong focus on practical execution and delivery under tight timelines is critical.
- A relevant degree in Marketing or Business Management
Knowledge of:
- Principles of brand marketing
- Strategic Marketing management
- Data analysis, client profiling and segmentation
- Digital, paid and social media marketing
- Multiple product and service campaigns project management and end to end delivery
- Internal and external communication, above the line and below the line methods and practices
- Stakeholder and relationship building and management
- Senior stakeholder engagement and management
- Yearly business and campaign planning calendars and management thereof
Ideally you also have:
- Experience gained preferably in an FMCG, retail banking or services industry.
- Cross-functional project coordination / management
- Proven experience is providing creative and copy direction, working with vague problems and creating solves to meet targets and deadlines
