As an Enterprise Solution Architect, you will bridge the gap between high-level enterprise architecture and on-the-ground solution delivery. Embedded within technology delivery teams, you will provide hands-on guidance and leadership to ensure the architectural integrity of delivered products, aligning them with broader enterprise standards. You will play a critical role in shaping the architecture of products from conception to implementation, ensuring they meet both immediate technical requirements and long-term strategic goals. This role demands a blend of strategic oversight and practical expertise, making you a key player in driving the success of our technology initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing
The Enterprise Solutions Architect (ESA) is responsible for aligning Enterprise & Solution Architecture with business strategies and ensuring effective solution delivery. This role focuses on integrating high-level strategic goals with tactical implementations, fostering collaboration across teams, and driving continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing
The Enterprise Solutions Architect (ESA) is responsible for aligning Enterprise & Solution Architecture with business strategies and ensuring effective solution delivery. This role focuses on integrating high-level strategic goals with tactical implementations, fostering collaboration across teams, and driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with technology delivery teams to design and implement solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Provide hands-on architectural guidance and technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure solutions meet immediate technical requirements and align with long-term strategic goals, including business and prioritization alignment.
- Conduct architectural reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure governance and compliance with standards like ISO 27001, Sarbanes-Oxley, and GDPR, as well as other regulatory frameworks.
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Oversee the integration of new technologies and practices within existing frameworks.
- Maintain a hands-on role in the architectural design of key projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategies.
- Mentor and support team members in best practices and architectural standards.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively across teams to ensure cohesive and integrated solutions.
- Monitor and manage risks associated with architectural decisions and implementations.
- A proven track record of minimum 5 years practical experience as an Enterprise or Solution Architect in a large organization, working within an industry standard Architecture Framework.
- Solid understanding of the practical implementation and use of architecture frameworks, patterns and principles to guide a large enterprise (SOA, DDD, Event-Driven, ServiceMesh)
- Strong proficiency in the use of solution diagramming tools (e.g. SparxEA) and diagram types, using an industry standard notation, e.g. Archimate
- Hands-on experience with modern technology stacks and cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of compliance and governance frameworks, such as ISO 27001, Sarbanes-Oxley, and GDPR.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Industry recognised Enterprise Architecture certification
- Solid understanding of Domain Driven Design (DDD)
- Deep understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Understanding of Clean Architecture Principles
- Understanding of Lean Architecture within an Agile environment.
- Experience in the design of Event-Driven Architectures.
- Experience in the design of Service Mesh Landscapes.
- Understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud environments
- Experience in the use or DORA (DevOps Research and Assessment) Metrics
- A deep-rooted understanding of Infosec and Compliance guidelines.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Certification in relevant frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Mentoring or leadership experience in technical teams.
