About The Job
The CSIR has a temporary vacancy for a Project Administrator in the e-Government Impact Area within the Next Generation Enterprises and Institutions Cluster. The incumbent will be responsible for providing projects administration and events support to the Digital Health e-impilo team and ensure that projects and events are conducted in compliance with project management principles. The position is based in Pretoria and will report to Research Group Leader.

Project Administrator

About The Job

Key Responsibilities
- Route documentation and tracking such as proposals, contracts, tenders, and collaboration agreements approvals are obtained;
- Prepare for the projects, contract registration forms and project schedules according to project requirements;
- Create and maintain an electronic project file for all the relevant project documents until close out;
- Provide general administrative support to the research group team (.g travelling arrangement, procurement of office requirements, catering for events, etc)
- Provide support for planning and hosting of the research group events
- Liaise with CSIR shared portfolios (e.g Finance, Procurement, etc)
- Facilitate the process of suppliers registration, processing requisitions and PO via Miraculum, and closing or receipting orders
- Update project documentation and assist the Project Managers with administrative tasks;
- Assist with timesheet reports and follow up with team members;
- Participate in project meetings; capturing actions, resolutions and provide required information for decision making;
- Close open orders and follow up on advance payments and accruals as needed;
- Assist to accumulate information for reports, e.g. proof of student registrations and publications;
- Deal with project queries and route appropriately;
- Schedule meetings and ensure relevant documentation is distributed;
- Assist with the calculation of income declared and running costs against timesheet bookings by monitoring the financial dashboard system;
- Facilitate project documentation and ensure compliance with project management and business frameworks and CSIR quality standards;
- Monitor expenses against approved budgets and escalate deviations;
- Assist Project managers with administrative tasks for project close out.
- A National Diploma in Project Management; with at least two years experience in project or programme management, administration and co-ordination;
- Certified as an associate in Project Management (CAPM or equivalent) will be advantageous;
- Excellent Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
- Ability to work independently, with the team and others across the teams
- Good interpersonal and numerical skills;
- Excellent communication skills;

- Conflict management skills
- Quality orientated and pays attention to detail.
