Summary

We are expanding and are looking for a Business Development Manager (m/w/d) based in Morocco to lead our growth in North and West Africa. In this role, you will build and execute market strategies from the ground up, develop enterprise customer networks, and drive business growth in key industries such as automotive, aerospace, defense, and general manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities

As the Business Development Manager for North and West Africa, you will be responsible for building and expanding Hexagon’s presence in this emerging market. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will develop and execute strategies to grow our customer base and increase revenue. Main responsibilities include:

  • Conducting market analysis to identify opportunities and develop a tailored business development strategy for the region
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with enterprise accounts across North and West Africa, including Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Nigeria
  • Engaging with key stakeholders such as directors, general managers, sales, and technical teams within target industries like automotive, aerospace, defense, and general manufacturing
  • Driving direct sales efforts and collaborating with partners to expand Hexagon’s footprint in the region
  • Representing Hexagon at industry events, trade associations, and educational institutions to build brand awareness and foster business growth
  • Managing a high volume of travel (up to 75%) across the region to meet clients and prospects, primarily by car within Morocco and by air to other countries
  • Reporting on sales performance and market developments to senior management, contributing to the achievement of ambitious revenue targets
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to align strategies and deliver customer value
  • Developing a deep understanding of Hexagon’s Metrology and Production Software products to effectively communicate their benefits and solutions to customers
  • Preparing and delivering presentations and proposals tailored to customer needs and regional market dynamics

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related fiel
  • 5 to 10 years of proven sales and business development experience, preferably within manufacturing industries
  • Strong background in manufacturing processes, ideally with experience in metrology or production software solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute market strategies from scratch in emerging markets
  • Fluent in French and English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 75%), including frequent overnight stays across North and West Africa
  • Mobility and no restrictions on travel within the African region
