Overview

The Art Team Lead is responsible for driving the visual and technical direction of projects, ensuring high-quality design, effective communication, team performance, and alignment with company strategy. This role blends creative oversight with leadership and project management responsibilities, focusing on the development of software application interfaces, team growth, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Communication & Collaboration


  • Ensures clear, concise, and professional communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gathers and shares relevant information to support project alignment and feedback loops.
  • Maintains the company’s brand tone and professionalism in all communications.


Technical & Creative Leadership


  • Leads the design direction for new development projects within the art platform team.
  • Maintains deep knowledge of all applications and production pipelines.
  • Documents and archives templates, whitepapers, and best practices for ongoing learning.
  • Oversees interface design ensuring brand integrity, usability, and technical functionality.
  • Conducts research to keep designs aligned with industry trends and best practices.


Team Management & Development


  • Mentors, trains, and supports team members while aligning team goals with company strategy.
  • Allocates appropriate resources to projects, monitors performance, and manages deadlines.
  • Develops training and career growth plans for team members and conducts performance appraisals.
  • Addresses performance gaps and ensures adherence to company policies and procedures.


Project Oversight


  • Collaborates with art directors and stakeholders to understand software requirements and scope.
  • Ensures all deliverables meet design, functionality, and quality standards.
  • Facilitates clear communication around timelines, expectations, and outcomes.

Qualifications


  • 5 to 10 years’ experience working with creative teams or similar
  • Strong understanding of visual and interactive design principles and best practices
  • Strong understanding of software used for design and animation
  • Strong understanding of Ai tools for design
  • Understanding of asset management systems and time tracking software (Monday.com beneficial)
