The Laboratory Technician Will Be Responsible For The Following
- The incumbent is required to be familiar with the TML testing and the apparatus used for the testing.
- To perform and conduct validations as per ISO 17025 requirements and quality management requirements for the testing.
- To assist with all aspects required in order for the testing to be accredited.
- To participate in proficiency testing and / or interlaboratory testing for the TML method.
- To troubleshoot and ensure compliance to the relevant standards required for the TML testing (IMBSC code).
- To ensure all checks and maintenance on the testing apparatus/equipment is maintained.
- To follow the validation and method setup as per the quality management system.
- To carry out any other task as instructed by the Site Manager.
- To ensure that the laboratory rules, safety regulations and documented procedures are followed at all times.
- Ensure that all orders for the necessary laboratory supplies and resources are available and are ordered by the appropriate personnel prior to commencement of test.
- Must ensure that analyses and validation data are clear, well documented and reported in the appropriate format to the Site Manager.
- Ensure that the quality of work produced meets the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 17025:2017 standard and are maintained at a level that meets or exceeds company and market acceptable standards.
- Always follow all the Quality System Procedures.
- Always abide by local legislative requirements.
- Compliance to the Quality Management System.
- A Minimum of an Analytical Chemistry Diploma or Degree from a recognised University or Institution.
- Minimum 5-year experience in a chemical laboratory / environment.
- Fluent in English (written and oral).
- Ability to anticipate needs and must be responsive to enquiries.
- Ability to investigate, resolve and respond to queries.
- Ability to multitask and meet challenging deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Attention to detail.
- Demonstrate accountability and a team player.
- Effective communication skills both verbally and written within all levels.
- Excellent interpersonal, planning and communication skills.
- Highly organized and flexible.
- Must be computer literate.
- Sound decision making, problem solving and preventive measures skills.
- Must have knowledge on the ISO systems.
