Job summary:
In this challenging position you will be responsible for the finance activities of our Swiss entities. You will also assist with tasks in the other Switzerland entities and potentially in other countries, as a member of the Global Accounting team. As the local Accounts payable and Accounts Receivable Specialist you will be responsible for coordinating with stakeholders across South Pole and also external stakeholders to ensure reporting is complete in a timely fashion.

Job summary:

As the local Accounts payable and Accounts Receivable Specialist you will be responsible for coordinating with stakeholders across South Pole and also external stakeholders to ensure reporting is complete in a timely fashion.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
- Manage approval process of incoming supplier invoices
- Process supplier invoices in our ERP
- Review and reimburse expenses reports
- Manage approval process of incoming receivable invoice requests from stakeholders
- Process receivable invoices in our ERP
- Collaboration in the dunning (cash collection) process
- Preparation of weekly and monthly bank balances files
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Reconcile intercompany accounts
- Coordinate daily business and specific projects with employees around the globe
- Deputy for the Accounts Payable specialist
- Actively support the finance team with monthly, quarterly and annual closing this includes all accruals and prepayment bookings
- Assisting in the ERP data cleansing and migration
- Educational Background: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an international or Swiss-based company.
- Tools & Systems: Proficiency in ERP systems (Abacus, D365, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required
- Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
