Are you a WSO2 expert eager to make a significant impact in a dynamic enterprise environment? Join our team as an Integration Specialist and play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust integration solutions that drive our organization's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement enterprise-grade integration solutions using WSO2 tools such as API Gateway and Enterprise Integrator.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, services, and message flows with a focus on data integrity and performance.
  • Integrate internal and third-party applications, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange.
  • Translate complex business requirements into integration specifications and technical designs.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, and secure communication standards (OAuth2, JWT, TLS, etc.).
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integrations to ensure system stability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and application developers on enterprise data and integration strategies.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments.
  • Document integration flows, technical specifications, and operational procedures.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 35+ years of experience in integration development using WSO2 (API Manager, Enterprise Integrator, Identity Server).
  • WSO2 Certification (e.g., WSO2 Certified Integration Developer) is highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, XML/JSON, XSLT, and REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Proven experience with message brokers and data streaming tools (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS).
  • Solid grasp of API lifecycle management, governance, and security protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with integration patterns, ESB, and service orchestration.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data models and enterprise data flows.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Agile/Scrum project experience.


Location:

This is a full-time, 12-month on-site contract position based in Parktown, Johannesburg.
