This is a full-time, 12-month on-site contract position based in Parktown, Johannesburg.

- Design and implement enterprise-grade integration solutions using WSO2 tools such as API Gateway and Enterprise Integrator.
- Develop and maintain APIs, services, and message flows with a focus on data integrity and performance.
- Integrate internal and third-party applications, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange.
- Translate complex business requirements into integration specifications and technical designs.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and secure communication standards (OAuth2, JWT, TLS, etc.).
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integrations to ensure system stability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and application developers on enterprise data and integration strategies.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments.
- Document integration flows, technical specifications, and operational procedures.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 35+ years of experience in integration development using WSO2 (API Manager, Enterprise Integrator, Identity Server).
- WSO2 Certification (e.g., WSO2 Certified Integration Developer) is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of data structures, XML/JSON, XSLT, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Proven experience with message brokers and data streaming tools (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS).
- Solid grasp of API lifecycle management, governance, and security protocols.
- Hands-on experience with integration patterns, ESB, and service orchestration.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data models and enterprise data flows.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Agile/Scrum project experience.
