A fast growing Website Development agency is is growing quickly and delivers high-performance, custom websites and web apps for venture-backed startups and digital-first enterprises. An expanding project pipeline now requires a sales professional who understands every nuance of selling WebDev services—from discovery and UX audits to full-stack builds and post-launch support.

Role Summary

The Account Executive owns new-business acquisition and expansion within existing accounts. Daily work involves prospecting digital-native companies, leading discovery conversations, scoping technical solutions with engineering leads, and negotiating project agreements. Credibility with both CTOs and marketing stakeholders is essential, as is a track record of closing sizable WebDev engagements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify prospects whose growth depends on custom web builds or site re-platforming.
  • Translate business objectives into scoped proposals, statements of work, and phased roadmaps.
  • Coordinate internal designers and developers during pre-sales to ensure technical accuracy.
  • Maintain pipeline data and forecasting rigor in HubSpot (or comparable CRM).
  • Partner with delivery managers to guide seamless hand-offs and uncover upsell opportunities.
  • Represent the agency at industry meetups, webinars, and conferences to generate referrals.

Required Experience

  • Minimum three years carrying quota at a web-development agency; must show closed deals for custom websites or web apps valued at USD 100K or higher.
  • Fluency in WebDev concepts—responsive design, CMS migrations, headless architecture, performance optimization, CI/CD—and ability to explain them to non-technical buyers.
  • Proficiency in modern CRM workflows; HubSpot preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an aptitude for translating technical scope into business value.

Preferred Extras

  • Familiarity with common stacks such as React, Next.js, Node, or PHP/Laravel.
  • Experience selling to e-commerce, SaaS, or fintech brands that demand scalable web platforms.
  • Understanding of agile delivery and the ability to set client expectations around sprints and iterative releases.

Success Targets (First 6 Months)

  • Close two net-new web-development projects totaling at least USD 250K.
  • Expand one existing client by 20 percent through additional feature work or maintenance retainers.
  • Keep CRM data accuracy above 90 percent while maintaining a rolling 90-day forecast.
