About the Role


We’re looking for an ambitious and strategic Head Of Enterprise Growth to drive Happy Pay’s expansion into South Africa’s largest retail partners. This is a hands-on commercial role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, knows how to build and close high-value pipelines, and wants to shape the future of how people pay.


You’ll work directly with the founders to land flagship deals, co-create enterprise partnership structures, and build the commercial muscle behind our scale. Think of this as part-seller, part-strategist, part-builder, with massive upside.


Key Responsibilities


  • Identify, target, and close high-value enterprise partnerships with retailers, payment gateways, and financial platforms.
  • Own and manage the entire enterprise sales cycle, from prospecting and outreach to proposal, negotiation, and closing.
  • Collaborate with product, legal, and integration teams to deliver customized solutions that meet enterprise partner needs.
  • Build deep relationships with C-level stakeholders, understanding their commercial objectives and positioning Happy Pay as a key growth lever.
  • Work with the CEO to refine the enterprise sales strategy, track pipeline performance, and optimize for scalable growth.
  • Attend relevant industry events and meetings to position Happy Pay as a category leader.


Who You Are:


  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in South African payments, e-commerce or fintech.
  • A proven track record of landing and expanding enterprise accounts.
  • Strategic, analytical, and commercially sharp, able to tailor pitches to diverse enterprise stakeholders.
  • Excellent communicator with strong negotiation skills and executive presence.
  • Comfortable in a startup environment, fast-paced, high-autonomy, and impact-driven.
  • Mission-aligned: you care about building products that make financial life better for people.
