Senior Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team and help drive meaningful, high-impact change in client environments. This role is central to the successful delivery of complex digital projects, combining leadership, technical understanding, and strategic problem-solving.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in:
  • Scoping projects and developing business cases
  • Managing project timelines, budgets, risks, and issues
  • Facilitating delivery through structured project management methodologies
  • Applying your understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Business Analysis to solve client problems effectively
  • Engaging cross-functional technical teams to drive delivery within complex, data- and software-driven environments

Required Qualifications

  • Tertiary degree, diploma, or certificate in a related field (e.g., Project or Programme Management)
  • PMP certification (non-negotiable)
  • Agile Practitioner certification (SAFe or SCRUM) is preferred – or willingness to certify shortly after onboarding

Experience And Knowledge

  • 3–6 years’ experience in dedicated Project Management roles, with 10+ years total professional experience
  • Proven experience managing technical projects involving enterprise software and data within digital technology environments
  • Experience in either the Mining or Banking industry (preferred)
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management
  • Previous experience as a SCRUM Master or EPIC Owner (Programme Manager) advantageous
  • Knowledge of COBIT and ITIL frameworks beneficial

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and backlogs (SOWs, prioritisation, resource plans)
  • Manage project risks, actions, issues, and decisions (RAID)
  • Coordinate project integration and change management activities
  • Oversee budget and cost control, including procurement and financial reporting
  • Ensure quality assurance processes are followed
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and stakeholder negotiation
  • Lead cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Oversee release and configuration management activities
  • Prepare and present reports for Steering Committees
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance standards and frameworks
