An exciting and challenging opportunity for an energetic, attention to detail results focused Care Consultant exists. The successful candidate must have experience and exposure in Mental Health Management and will act as an Ambassador for PPSHA to ensure effective customer query resolution.

Grade 12
Bachelors Degree
Mental Health Management is essential
Sound knowledge of the Coding Systems: ICD10 & CPT4 Principles and sound knowledge of the Medical Aid Industry, Rules & Regulations, ISO and other related legislation
Excellent business writing & communication skills with exceptional telephone etiquette
Must have strong organisational awareness to anticipate the impact of actions on other groups.
Time Management & good administration skills
Must be a strong team player and results driven
Computer literacy (MS Office and Medical Administration system)

, Duties and Responsibilities,
- Engage with the patients over Mental health via post hospital discharge and Syed app outcomes touchpoint calls to understand their current medical mental health status, symptoms, past history, medications taken, etc.
- Communicate with patients suffering from various ailments post discharge
- Understand the status of their mental health and counsel them.
- Monitor patients to evaluate the progress of the treatment and maintain records of the progress.
- Engage with patients to understand any medical needs and effectively channel it to the correct mental health channels.
- To handle patient queries and providing response from pre-defined FAQs.
- To collate health record related data from consenting patients
- To receive regular feedback from team managers and undergo program related training and on the job training on a regular basis.
- To ensure patient data management
- To enrol new patients into the system once they call in
- Understand if the patient has any additional requirements - medications, labs, dietitian, physiotherapists etc.
- Understand patients’ current social determinants and lifestyle status.
- To effectively engage the patients in giving complete medical history and determine if they have any deviations from the recommended care plan.
- Provide patients with the psychosocial support needed to cope with chronic, acute or terminal illnesses.
