Your team
As an Options Sales Trader with IG, you will be responsible for providing effective customer service for IG US Options and Futures customers by utilizing sharp, in-depth knowledge of all retail brokerage services. This would include trading software features and functionality, account management, and any other questions about the US Options and Futures platform.
Your role in the Team's Success
As an Options Sales Trader, your role will be to help deliver world-class and industry leading support to our global client base. In addition, this role offers the opportunity to specialize in our tasty offering, providing client service to an audience trading US exchange listed options, equities and futures. We're looking for people with a passion for providing excellent customer service and who have an interest in learning more about financial markets and options.
This role is ideal for financial markets professionals with strong interpersonal skills seeking work in a fast-paced, challenging and team-focused environment. This role is also suited for anyone who has previous client services experience, thrives on interacting and assisting clients and has experience with exchange traded products. The role is based in our offices in Sandton South Africa.

What You'll Do
- Utilise our cutting edge cloud-based contact centre to provide trade and admin support on exchange traded derivatives and products to our global client base across phone, email, web chat and WhatsApp.
- Take on the roll as a New business consultant to guide newly activated accounts through the platform and work towards increasing conversion rates.
- Manage high value clients in an attempt to increase retention.
- Providing an execution-only phone dealing service, assist customers with complex option order execution and resolve trade disputes.
- Participating in and running various local and international projects.
- Analyse customers positions and provide advantages and disadvantages for various strategies.
- Continuous improvement mindset and ambition.
- Strong sales skills to be able to convert potential clients and retain high valued clients.
- A degree-level education, finance-related preferred.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Understanding of option execution mechanics and pricing.
- Experience with futures, options on futures, stocks and/or options on stocks.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
