Duties & Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead and direct concurrent standard or complex
  • Engage with stakeholders to take projects from original concept through final
  • Provide pre-sales support by working with sales teams to scope and cost a project solution which includes the completion of a
  • Manage the delivery of the projects through Project Managers, including rigorous scope control and change
  • Manage escalations, acting as single point of contact to the
  • Manage Project Managers to enable project teams to deliver against performance
  • Establish a monitoring and evaluation framework for periodic reviews, which clearly defines measurable outcomes for each
  • Identify and communicate any risks or opportunities based on
  • Coach and mentor Project Managers when
  • Manage project teams against service level agreements and flag potential
  • Inform management timeously of any effects that may influence normal
  • Coordinate all on-site activities with building
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant
  • Undertake regular site
  • Ensure that Compliance Certificates (where applicable) are issued and
  • Increase cross selling opportunities within the site
  • Streamline processes and reduce rework and abortive work, to increase

Daily Support and Management

  • Improve methods of carrying out work through on-the-job
  • Ensure that workflow continues without

  • Schedule and hold regular feedback meetings with all relevant staff, contractors and
  • Ensure distribution and control of sensitive information and reports to authorised persons
  • Ensure all project related invoices are approved and sent for payment
  • Analyse and consolidate project related documents for reporting
  • Ensure timeous procurement of vendors and related

Financial Management/Cost Containment/ Co-ordination And Alighment

  • Manage and optimise project budgets within budgetary objectives – ensure projects are scoped and planned correctly to remove
  • Identify and eliminate non-contributory
  • Ensure all legal, regulatory and client compliance has been followed, as to ensure no penalties or fines are
  • Issue Bill of Quantities (BOQ), obtain quotes and prepare Business Cases.
  • Know project contracts in detail – if there is a penalty or malus clause, manage the project to ensure there is never a penalty incurred. Make sure the total value of the proposed penalty is understood down to a day rate/ hr or incident rate.
  • Ensure early warning are issued in good time if any project parameter (time, cost, quality) is going to be compromised – this includes notifications of potential and actual
  • Follow project management best practice when recording and managing change requests from the client and track all cost and time implications for all changes requested. – Change requests should not proceed until the client has approved the additional time and -- No penalty clause on any work should be agree to without TFS Legal and Head of Projects consultation.
  • Payments to suppliers and contractors should not be approved or certified where the value of the work differs from the PO value unless there is a set of approved and tracked change requests and
  • Arrange project progress payments by issuing Project Progress certificates and keep record of all payments initiated when
  • Ensure Project Close Out (includes Project Completion Packs), and Final Account are conducted as soon as the project nears - Any delays in completing this process has a direct effect on invoicing the client, and the site ability to pay its supply chain.
  • Sign off completed works certificates and submit project pack to admin for

OHS Act And Risk Management

  • Undertake regular site inspections to ensure contractors comply with OHS Act standards regarding housekeeping, safe working conditions, contractor control, contractor training and equipment handling.

  • Built Environment related degree – BSc QS, Construction, Architecture
  • Project Management PMP

  • Minimum 8 years Project Management experience at a senior
