We are looking for a Creditors and Debtors Clerk to manage both payables and receivables within a fast-paced hospitality environment. This is a critical finance support role requiring precision, discretion, and a proactive attitude. The ideal candidate is efficient, trustworthy, and capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure.
Responsibilities include:
Processing and reconciling supplier invoices.
Ensuring timely payments and handling supplier queries.
Capturing creditor and debtor transactions accurately.
Preparing age analysis reports for both creditors and debtors.
Following up on outstanding debtors and managing collections.
Maintaining proper documentation and filing systems.
Assisting with month-end closing processes.
Liaising with other departments to resolve discrepancies promptly.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a creditors and/or debtors role within the hotel or hospitality sector.
Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
Good working knowledge of financial systems (Pastel experience is a plus).
Matric with accounting or bookkeeping certification (preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preference will be given to candidates based in or near Durban Central.
