Job Advert Summary

Clover is looking for Project Manager: Product & Packaging Development to manage all Projects related to Product & Packaging Development activities, i.e. new product launches, product and/or packaging changes, cost saving and/or optimisation. Coordinate all the project-related activities across relevant functions.


Minimum Requirements

  • National Diploma relating to Packaging and /Project Manager
  • Business English: Fluent
  • Computer literacy (Advanced)
  • Experience in working with senior management
  • Relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
  • Code 08 Driver's license
  • People management experience

Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate the investigation and implementation of Marketing projects

  • Manage allocated projects according to the project process
  • Align project scope and plan internal clients
  • Undertake feasibility studies
  • Communicate to all role-players within the organisation regarding project progress
  • Update and inform the project team continuously with regards to progress
  • Consider alternatives timeously and introduce those when a deviation of the project plan occurs
  • Keep resources involved with the project motivated and focused
  • Follow the project process and provide accurate time plans
  • Effective mobilisation, utilisation and management of project resources

Assist with execution of the 5 year portfolio plans (product road maps) according to Marketing strategies

  • Coordinate the innovation platforms
  • Record new ideas and maintain idea databases
  • Evaluate and prioritise ideas together with Marketing and other relevant functions

Perform administrative tasks

  • Prepare detailed timelines and indicate key milestones for projects
  • Manage project team meetings with clear agendas and minutes, indicating action points/tasks, responsible persons and due dates
  • Do profit studies and comparisons
  • Review, compare and consult on product P&L's and Business Plans
  • Analyse and audit project success
  • Ensure that all admin work, i.e. product/item codes creation, BOM's loading & changes, specification/profile documentation, etc. are done in time by the relevant resources.
