Financial Accountant- LESA

Role Purpose,

The scope o the Financial Accountant will cover all accounting, banks & treasury, tax & audit, legal, insurance and administrative perimeters for the LESA (Lactalis Export South Africa) organisation.

, Requirements,

• BCom Accounting Degree or similar
• At least 4 to 5 years post qualification experience in a financial function, preferably in a corporate environment within FMCG.
• A resilient individual with excellent interpersonal and clear communication skills
• Result driven, business acumen and good decision-making as well as strong leadership skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  
  

Advanced MS Office skills (Excel & PowerPoint)

, Duties and Responsibilities,

• Supervise and review all accounting matters, ensure all accounting and reporting procedures are reliable and properly applied.
• Ensure timely and accurate production of HFM reporting package and management accounts.
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Management of Diapason (Treasury System)
• Provide P&L review analysis, propose any possible actions to improve results or better monitor risks
• Month and journal preparation and approval
• Balance sheet reconciliations reviews
• Bank Reconciliations for local and CFC accounts
• Manage debtors function
• Manage creditors function
• Manage Petty Cash and Forex
• Beneficiary maintenance on bank platform
• Responsible for all tax and VAT issues and connect with local tax administration related to all tax compliance.
• Ensure all group accounting and reporting standards are properly applied and accounts are consistent with local GAAP.
• To provide local General Manager with monthly review of accounts and also specific financial analysis and recommendations.
