About the Position:

Adendorff Machinery Mart is looking for a dynamic CNC Machinery Specialist & Technical Support Technician to join our Aeroton branch in Johannesburg.

This role isn’t about working on CNC machines full-time - it's about understanding how they work inside and out. You’ll be responsible for installing, setting up, and supporting these machines, providing expert guidance to both our internal teams and third-party clients. From hands-on technical support and troubleshooting to customer training and product conditioning, you'll play a key role in ensuring our CNC machinery runs smoothly from showroom to shop floor.

The ideal candidate has solid technical knowledge, practical experience with CNC machinery, and enjoys helping others get the most out of their machines.

Job requirements:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on CNC equipment
  • Provide both remote and on-site technical support to customers and internal teams
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections, servicing, and repairs for the Adendorff range of products
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Maintain accurate service records, technical documentation, and customer communications
  • Troubleshooting and preventative maintenance (Assist with troubleshooting and preventative maintenance to minimize machine downtime)
  • Minimum Requirement: Relevant training, courses, or qualifications related to CNC machinery (formal trade certificates or practical CNC experience will be an advantage)


Desired Skills

  • Computer literacy and ability to work with technical manuals and software (SIEMENS)
  • Strong understanding of CNC machinery, including setup, programming basics, and operation
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues quickly and accurately
  • Familiarity with installation, calibration, and routine maintenance of CNC machines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to explain complex technical information in a clear and practical way (especially for training customers or team members)
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Basic understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a technical environment

Salary: Negotiable with Benefits available

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00 and Saturday 08:00 – 13:00
