About The Role
As a Marketer – Product Specialist II, you’ll be part of a team of self-motivated, high achieving sales professionals and you’ll drive WesBank Asset Based Finance full product offering to new customers in the KZN region to provide client support from product perspective
Successful candidate will be based in Acacia House, Umhlanga (Office based – 5 days)

- Manage costs / expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies
- Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions
- Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SME’s, project managers and senior staff members
- Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders
- Translate strategies into actionable goals and execute relevant projects / initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress
- Implement and maintain sound business processes that minimise FNB risk and deliver quality requirements specifications. Findings that area as a result of internal or external audit and client management and risk.
- Initiate and manage product research, data mining and quantitative analysis to ensure sustainability and future competitive growth
- Explore local and international markets for new business products and trademarks in order to expand and strengthen the business' market position
- Facilitate the conversion of knowledge and ideas into new or improved products, processes, and services
- Manage own development to increase own competencies
- BCom minimum qualification (Degree will be an advantage)
- 3+ years’ experience in banking (commercial)
- Services/Banking industry experience
- Knowledge and understanding of asset base finance
- Strong track record as highly performing sales individual
- Generally motivated for Sales (Hunting and New Business development) and highly energetic with a good sense of time management

- Good understanding of asset-based finance (ABF)
- General knowledge of financial and leasing including systems, applications, and banking practices
- Requires expert negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Requires solid problem-solving skills.
- Analytical skills are required to determine client business needs and requirements.
- Ability to remain calm under various levels of pressure.
- Ability to show established track record.
- Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally/externally)
- Travel is required (within the KZN region)
