Job Description

THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

To process general ledger, journals, creditors, petty cash, bank reconciliations, electronic bank fund transfers and intercompany statements for TMS.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Capturing and controlling of all journal entries
  • Prepare journal entries for sundry ledger adjustments
  • Reconcile loan amounts, investigate and clear differences
  • Reconcile and control accounts with subsidiary trail balances, investigate and clear differences
  • Approved capex matched to invoices
  • Fixed Assets verified are updated and can be audited
  • Management reports on fixed assets
  • Download fix asset register to general ledger
  • Notify users of assets expiring and organise replenishments
  • Accounts balanced
  • Preparation of journals and documentation
  • Posting journals to general ledger
  • Provisions and accruals
  • Inter-company documents prepared
  • Respond to queries form inter companies
  • Software systems problems sorted out
  • Assist staff with queries

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATION

  • Grade 12
  • Bookkeeping qualification

Experience

  • 4 years bookkeeping experience
  • Experienced in trail balance
