THE ROLE
We are looking for a Researcher who can be part of a multinational team involved with ongoing monitoring of businesses and individuals. This role will provide research and analysis support across our intelligence practices, particularly one team as they conduct ongoing due diligence checks. They also support the production of a range of due diligence and strategic intelligence projects.
The main duties for this role will be varied but we anticipate that they will involve the following:

THE ROLE

This role will provide research and analysis support across our intelligence practices, particularly one team as they conduct ongoing due diligence checks. - Undertake daily monitoring on companies and individuals, identifying salient developments and alerting senior team members promptly;
- Set up monitors and conduct open-source media monitoring and research for assigned clients, including in relation to bespoke monitoring projects;
- Analyse this information and produce high-quality and relevant alerts based on assigned client's risk thresholds;
- Conduct ad-hoc research tasks, providing relevant research and writing support .

We're looking for someone that is able to adapt to change and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment, this person will have some or all of these skills:
- Some form of relevant tertiary education – most relevant to us would likely be Political Science, Law or similar; or equivalent work experience.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to process and analyse large volumes of data, drawing out key themes and providing relevant analysis and summaries;
- Excellent written and spoken English with a focus on analysing and presenting complex themes and subjects;
- Excellent research and investigative skills;
- Some knowledge of international politics and international affairs;
- Basic knowledge of financial and commercial concepts;
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, and;
- Proficiency in MS office applications;
This role will be based in Cape Town and all candidates must have permission to work in South Africa by the start of their employment.
