WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
- Negotiate, in the company’s interests, with suppliers of equipment and services. Ensuring that proper specifications are given to such suppliers, and that work done by such is of the required standard.
- Ensure that he/she obeys safety regulations and observe safety precautions as laid down in the Machinery and Occupational Safety Act
- Lead project teams to ensure World Class Manufacturing (WCM) projects are completed timeously.
- Prepare CAPEX applications for improvement projects.
- To do fault finding on machines, and to improve plant efficiency by optimising the availability of equipment.
- To identify improvements in the process that could be made by modifying or replacement of plant and to bring such information to the attention of management.
- Ensure smooth and efficient maintenance operation of Alrode factory.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
The ideal candidate must have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering. At least 3 to 5 years within a WCM or Continuous Improvement Lean manufacturing environment, this role calls for a person who has previous contractor management experience, as well as PM & EEM experience as an added advantage. The ideal candidate will need to have experience within managing a team. Solid leadership and management experience is a necessity as this role will lead and manage teams.
