Allied Talent Partners is a talent marketplace connecting experienced professionals with climate-related projects and businesses across Africa.


We are currently developing a strategic talent pool of senior professionals to be considered for Investment Committee (IC) roles within climate, sustainability, infrastructure, and blended finance funds. These roles are expected to support the effective deployment of capital into high-impact investments across Africa and other emerging markets.

This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to engage individuals with deep expertise in fund strategy, capital allocation, and risk-return assessment. We welcome expressions of interest from professionals with backgrounds in private equity, venture capital, development finance, or impact investing—particularly those with experience in, or strong familiarity with, African markets.

This talent pool will contribute to high-impact sustainable investment initiatives by strengthening fund governance, guiding capital deployment strategies, and enabling sound, mission-aligned investment decisions.

Role and Responsibilities

Professionals in this talent pool may be engaged in:

Investment Committee Oversight:

• Reviewing and approving proposed investments in alignment with fund strategy, risk appetite, and impact objectives
• Assessing investment memos, due diligence findings, and financial models to inform decision-making
• Providing strategic guidance on portfolio construction, risk-return profiles, and exit strategies
• Upholding governance standards and fiduciary responsibilities in accordance with institutional and regulatory frameworks
• Offering independent judgment on complex transactions, potential conflicts, and mandate alignment
  
  

Sector-Specific & Regional Expertise:

• Contributing insights on trends and risk factors in climate, sustainability, infrastructure, and blended finance
• Evaluating project and fund investment readiness across Africa and other emerging markets
• Supporting impact-driven capital deployment through expertise in fund structuring and investor engagement
• Ensuring integration of ESG, gender, and climate considerations into investment processes
• Advising on capital efficiency, blended finance instruments, and long-term strategic alignment
  
  

Requirements

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for senior professionals with expertise in:

• Investment decision-making within private equity, venture capital, impact investing, or blended finance
• Fund governance, portfolio oversight, and capital allocation across climate, sustainability, or infrastructure sectors
• Risk-return analysis, investment memo review, and evaluation of complex transactions
• Sector knowledge in climate finance, clean energy, sustainable infrastructure, or ESG-aligned investments
• Experience serving on investment committees, advisory boards, or as senior advisors to institutional or mission-driven funds
